Wardrobe and wardrobe - ways to own clothes

A capacious wardrobe is not enough to properly store clothes and home textiles. With the change of seasons, we hide down jackets, warmer duvets and blankets in our wardrobes. How to store seasonal clothes or textiles? How to design a wardrobe? See our tips!

What to keep in mind when designing a wardrobe?

A capacious wardrobe or wardrobe is the basis of every home. Properly thought-out storage space will allow you to keep order.

When designing your wardrobe, think about what things dominate your wardrobe. Clothing and accessories have a huge impact on the number of shelves, rails and drawers you need. If you mainly have knitted clothes, wide and deep shelves will certainly come in handy.

Stored in this way, sweaters will not stretch out, thanks to which they will please the eye much longer. In the case of dresses, trousers and light cotton items of clothing, railings or special hangers for trousers will work best. It is worth considering whether you want to store a vacuum cleaner, ironing board and other cleaning items in the wardrobe. If so, think about special hooks or baskets where you can fit household accessories.

The next step is to select the appropriate cabinet bodies. In this way, you will use every inch of the wall! You can choose from modules in various heights and widths. The most popular are bodies with a width of 100; 50; 70.2; 37.6 and 20 cm. Corner bodies are also an interesting solution. A corner wardrobe will allow you to make the most of the space, which will give you additional storage space.

Of course, an important element is also the arrangement of the wardrobe in the interior. Where is the best place to put the wardrobe? The dressing room should be placed near the bedroom. Easy and quick access to clothes will make your morning preparations easier.

The dressing room in the bedroom is a modern solution that will perfectly fit into both industrial and glamor styles. The most popular solution is an open wardrobe separated by a wall or a delicate screen. This solution does not make the room optically smaller, so it will also work well in small spaces.

Storage space should also be found in other interiors. You can successfully use the modular wardrobe system to arrange a wardrobe in the hall or living room. A properly selected color of the bodies and the type of fronts will make the wardrobe an integral part of the arrangement.

Storing clothes in the wardrobe - practical advice

Modern ways of storing clothes can really surprise you. Equipping the wardrobe with matching shelves, baskets and hangers will make it easy to fit accessories and clothing! Here are some of the most interesting solutions:

Storing pants - you can put the pants on classic hangers (folding them in half) or on hangers with frogs. A more practical solution is a pull-out trouser hanger to be mounted inside the body. This is a great patent that takes up little space.

Storing sweaters - knitwear should not be stored on hangers. The weaves can stretch under their own weight, causing the garment to lose its shape. Always store such items of clothing flat. For this purpose, deep, pull-out drawers, shelves or baskets will work best.

Storing shoes - cardboard boxes are not the most convenient way to store shoes. Transparent organizers or special drawers for shoes will work much better. The profiled metal allows you to arrange the shoes in rows and at a slight angle, thanks to which you can easily reach for your favorite pair.

Storage of accessories - in the wardrobe you can store small accessories or jewelry. Put sunglasses, belts, bracelets or scarves in the appropriate drawers with organizers. Such a patent will allow you to keep order and protect accessories from dust.

How to store seasonal clothes and quilts?

Changes of the seasons require you to periodically pull out coats, jackets, hats and warmer blankets from the depths of the wardrobe. They take up a lot of space, get dusty and often fall victim to pests, e.g. moths. Seasonal clothes are best stored in closed containers or covers. In this way, the clothes will stay clean throughout their stay in the wardrobe. With wool sweaters and jackets, it is worth hanging a few moth traps or scented bags.

After winter, warm clothes, quilts and blankets can be sealed in vacuum bags. Thanks to this, you will save a lot of space, and your clothes or accessories will be protected from dust mites.

How to choose a wardrobe for the living room?

The wardrobe for the living room should harmonize with the interior design. In the living room, a shallow wardrobe for the entire wall will work well. This solution will make the piece of furniture "blend" into the wall and will not dominate the space.

How deep is the wardrobe?

It is considered that the minimum depth of the wardrobe is approx. 40 cm. However, the optimal body depth is 58 cm. This dimension will allow you to store clothes in a comfortable way.
